Demystify Human Design: Quick Guide to Effortlessly Integrate it into Your Coaching
Are you cautious about incorporating Human Design into your coaching practice?
Are you afraid it’s too complex or esoteric?
Do you worry that it’s “too woo” and clients won’t resonate?
Any hesitation is completely understandable!! It can feel REALLY heavy trying to add yet another thing to your business and then convincing your clients it’s worth exploring. Not to mention any active inner critic that might be screaming, “who am I to do this?!”
It’s no secret Human Design is off the beaten path. Due to it’s alternative nature, it can be dismissed in more “professional” settings because it may not be deemed “appropriate” or “acceptable”.
But then again, the majority of your clients are or have been in professional settings and are seeking your coaching because whatever is deemed “appropriate” and “acceptable” isn’t working.
As a coach, you make a living supporting people OUT of limiting beliefs. Let’s start with one that might be coming up for you.
Human Design is too complex.
Many coaches may shy away from Human Design, fearing its complexity makes it inaccessible. But is the complexity truly a barrier, or a story your Not Self is trying to write?
Here are some of the more common messages:
The detailed system of gates and channels is overwhelming
The variety of types and what they mean (Manifestor, Generator, etc.) is confusing
Applying this knowledge practically with clients seems daunting
Address the Limiting Belief
While all are understandable, none are insurmountable. Start by learning the basics —focus on types and strategy. This foundational knowledge alone can greatly enhance your understanding of client dynamics.
Real World Example
A coach I work with began by introducing just the concept of energy types in her sessions. One of her most recent clients was her first Manifestor (they’re here to inform and in turn, like to be informed). So she outlined the process and laid out very clearly what to expect along the way. They both agreed to keep each other informed as much as possible throughout the relationships to ensure all needs and desires were met on both sides. This small step led to noticeable changes in how she related to a Manifestor. She was able to tailor her coaching to rely more on informed collaboration vs. deep questioning to foster a deeper, more effective relationship.
