From Woo-Woo to Wow: Practical Ways to Address this Common Belief
Last month we addressed the limiting belief that Human Design is too complex. It’s no secret there’s a lot to it, but that doesn’t make it inaccessible. Starting with something as simple as Type can transform your interactions almost immediately.
Let’s look at another limiting belief that my be creeping into the fold.
Human Design is too “woo”.
The mistake here is viewing Human Design as a mystical, unscientific tool rather than recognizing it as a system for understanding human behavior and motivations. Engaging in your own Human Design experiment and continuous application in coaching sessions reveal its grounded, practical benefits.
Address the Limiting Belief
Start with your own experiment. Become familiar with your own True Self and Not Self. Learn about your own behavior and motivations and what it means to shift your life according to your Design.
What makes sense? What doesn’t?
What are some of the “easier” things to adjust?
Where did you really struggle? How did you manage it?
Real World Example
Another coach I’ve worked with used learning her own Human Design to transition from general life coaching to focusing on entrepreneurs. She recognized how she was getting in her own way by buying into to all “proven methods” and ways she “should” build a business, a lot of which were in direct contract to her Design. She now markets her ability to create a specific and personal business strategy for each client vs. filtering them through a general method.
By understanding and living her own Design, she is able to:
Relate what she learns from her own journey to her clients
Ask specific questions based on client Type | Strategy | Authority (for example: yes/no questions work very well for Generators to access their energy, but there’s a huge difference in understanding how accurate that yes/no is for a Generator with Emotional Authority vs. not)
Make adjustments to strategies based on client feedback
Take Action
Consider how Human Design could enhance your own coaching toolkit and encourage client breakthroughs. Let it be tool that broadens the journey, not obstructs it. Schedule a call to learn more about what it looks like in your world.
